Four people were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a pickup in Madhabpur of Habiganj.
Two women are among the dead.
The accident occurred at around 2 am on Thursday at Bakhrnakhar in Madhabpur upazila.
Madhabpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdullah Al Mamun has said that four people were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a pickup. There were 17 passengers in the pickup, including household items.
The OC also said the injured in the accident have been rescued and taken to Sadar Hospital. The condition of five of them is critical. Both the truck and the pickup are currently in the custody of the Highway Police.
The bodies have been recovered and kept at Habiganj Sadar Hospital and police are working to identify the deceased, said Abdullah Al Mamun.
