The injured of the anti-discrimination movement, who blocked the roads on both sides in front of the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) and the Institute of Ophthalmology in the capital demanding treatment abroad, are now in Shyamoli. They are staging a siege there.
They have given the government an ultimatum until 4 pm. If any of their demands are not met, they will hold a siege program in the Secretariat later. They have also threatened to commit suicide if necessary.
The injured of the anti-discrimination movement moved away from in front of the National Institute Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Center (Pangu Hospital) and took up position at Shyamoli intersection. They are chanting various slogans there.
Seeing the journalists, who are leading the siege, said we have given the government an ultimatum until 4 pm. If none of them contact us within this time, we will set off to surround the Secretariat.
Sharif, who was injured in the movement, said, “We want to say that this movement is not like the last movement. I let my chest get caught in the bullets of fascist government. I have become blind, I have become lame. Now, I’m not afraid. If those injured in the anti-discrimination movement are treated with disrespect, they will also follow the path Hasina has taken.”
