A 10-foot python was rescued from an area in Koyra upazila of Khulna on Sunday and later released into the Sundarbans.
According to local sources, the python was spotted behind the house of Samad Gazi in Maheshwaripur village in the afternoon.
After receiving the alert, a patrol team from the Forest Department’s Koyra range arrived at the scene to safely capture the snake.
Mohammad Monirul Islam, Station Officer at Baniakhali Forest, confirmed that the python was safely released back into its natural habitat with the presence of local public representatives and other officials.
